Northeast Georgia Medical Center Cafeteria Gardens

Gainesville, Georgia

Civil engineering and landscape architecture services including the renovation of the existing 3,000 s.f. garden on 1/10th of an acre gardens at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. Design uses wind chimes, animal forms, and other attention grabbing features to provide an escape for patients and medical staff and help patients cope with the passing of time. It is a patio and deck focused on a hexagonal fountain. The garden was engineered to respond to specific institutional, personal and subconscious needs. Plants and material selection, colors, sound, texture, as well as fragrance, all are extremely important whether we engineer the design of a garden for patients or their caregivers.
