A new home for Grady Cluster sports, the heart of this complex is the pro-athlete grade synthetic field that is marked for boys and girls lacrosse, football, soccer, and ultimate frisbee practice and competition. Designed to accommodate both daily practice and official games, this field and the adjacent baseball/softball field are designed to GHSA standards. An efficiently sited multi-purpose fieldhouse provides space for concessions, male and female locker rooms, equipment storage, and offices for athletic operations/security.
The site’s location adjacent to some of Atlanta’s busiest highways added both opportunities and constraints. The outfield created additional safety concerns for passing vehicles. The Eberly & Associates team worked closely with expert consultants to generate a ball trajectory analysis. Custom-designed safety netting was added along the field perimeter with appropriate netting.
